March Chapter Dinner – 3/11/20 – Navy Seal Team Commanding Officer Tom Deitz
Topic: “Contingency Planning: Don’t “What if?” it to Death”. Commander Tom Deitz is a retired Navy SEAL, and former Commanding Officer of SEAL Team Five, based in Coronado. Tom is a 1984 graduate of the US Naval Academy, who earned his Naval Surface Warfare Qualification prior to graduating Basic Underwater Demolition / SEAL Class 142. He was a SEAL Platoon Commander during Operation Desert Storm, where he led a deception mission which held Iraqi troops in defensive positions on the coast as the Allied ground forces commenced their assault in Kuwait.
