CASEY HOPKINSAs a loan officer at Southland EDC, I work with small business owners using the SBA 504 Program to provide affordable financing for owner-occupied commercial real estate and long-term equipment. The SBA 504 loan program offers long term fixed rates with as little as 10% down. After graduating from Miami University (of Ohio) as a finance major, I worked at Charles Schwab as an investment advisor for 5 years. Afterwards, I worked in the niche area of Private Lending that provides financing on residential and commercial properties through 1st and 2nd trust deeds as well as the sale of these TD’s to accredited investors. In 2008, I started my commercial banking career with San Diego National Bank and have since worked at US Bank, Silvergate Bank, and HomeStreet Bank. As a commercial banker, I provided a complete suite of business financing options: Revolving/Formula Lines of Credit, Equipment financing, Investor & Owner-Occupied Commercial Real Estate term loans via Conventional, SBA 504 & 7(a) and Cal Southern State Guarantee loan programs. I have been involved with the local RMA Chapter of San Diego for the last ten years and served as Chapter President 2021-2023.
